Gaeng Om Nuea (Lanna)

Als “Gaeng Om Nuea” ( แกงอ่อมเนื้อ ) wird in Nordthailand eine Suppe oder Curry mit klarer Brühe und Rind- oder Büffelfleisch sowie frischen Kräutern bezeichnet. Die Suppe basiert auf einer Paste aus Chilis, Knoblauch, Schalotten, Zitronengras, Galgant und Makhwaen oder Sichuan Pfeffer. Zur Abgrenzung zum gleichnamigen “Gaeng Om” aus dem Isaan könnte man das Gericht auch als “Gaeng Om Nuea Lanna” bezeichnen.
