Salad with wild betel pepper leaves

“Yam Bai Cha Plu” ( ยำใบชะพลู ) is a southern Thai salad made with wild betel pepper leaves and chicken or shrimp. It’s prepared with roasted coconut flakes and peanuts, as well as shallots, fresh chilies, and cilantro leaves. The salad is dressed with a mixture of fish sauce, vinegar, palm sugar, and optionally some fermented rose tofu.
