“Suea Rong Hai” (
เสือร้องไห้) or “crying tiger” is a classic street food dish from Isaan. Grilled beef steak is served with a spicy
sauce for dipping. There are many theories about the origin of the strange name, but none of them have been proven . The dish can also sometimes be found under
the longer name “Nuea Yang Suea Rong Hai” (
เนื้อย่างเสือร้องไห้).
