Saam Gler (Saam Sahai)

Three friends

“Saam gler” ( สามเกลอ ) or “saam sahai” ( สามสหาย ) is the name given to a paste in Thailand, made from garlic, coriander roots and white or black peppercorns. Both names can be translated as “three best friends” and express how well these three spices harmonize with each other. This paste forms the basis for a lot of Thai dishes.
