“Pad Ga Prau Nuea” (
ผัดกะเพราเนื้อ
) is a stir-fried dish with beef and holy basil. The beef is sautéed with crushed garlic and Thai
chilies and then deglazed with a mixture of oyster sauce, fish sauce and soy sauce. Finally, leaves of holy basil (Bai Ga Prau) are added. Depending on the
recipe, snake beans or other vegetables can also be added to the meat. The dish is typically served with a fried egg and jasmine rice.
