Pad Ga Prau Hed

“Pad Ga Prau Hed” ( ผัดกะเพราเห็ด ) is a stir-fry dish where mushrooms are stir-fried together with garlic and chilis. The whole dish is then deglazed with fish sauce and soy sauce. At the end, holy basil (Bai Ga Prau) is mixed in, which gives the whole dish its name and special flavor.

Depending on the type of mushrooms, the dish can also be named more explicitly, such as Pad Ga Prau Hed Bpu Than. The dish can also be found under the reversed name “Hed Pad Ga Prau” ( เห็ดผัดกะเพรา ).
