Nam Sot Pad

Basic sauce for stir-fry dishes

Nam Sot Pad" ( น้ำซอสผัด ) or “Sot Pad” for short ( ซอสผัด ) is the name given to the basic sauce for many Thai stir-fry dishes. It is usually a mixture of oyster sauce, soy sauce and fish sauce. This sauce can be mixed in advance.

When preparing certain stir-fry dishes, palm sugar, white pepper, golden mountain sauce, yellow bean paste or other spices are mixed in as required before the sauce mixture is used for seasoning.
