Dip with Fermented Soy Beans

“Nam Prik Aep Thua Nao” ( น้ำพริกแอ็บบถั่วเน่า ) is a Northern Thai dip where fermented soy beans are pounded and mixed with chilies, garlic, salt and fermented fish sauce in a mortar.

This usually very spicy dip is served together with raw or steamed vegetables, such as snake beans, cucumbers or eggplants as well as sticky rice.
