Hearty snacks on pineapple

Ma Ho" ( ม้าฮ่อ ) are savoury snacks served on pineapple pieces and garnished with coriander greens and chilli rings. These appetisers consist of crushed prawns, peanuts, minced meat, Saam Gler and lots of palm sugar.

The name “Ma Ho” can be translated as “Galloping Horses” and is due to the fact that this dish probably came to Thailand with mounted traders from Yunnan.
